In a society where students are asked to solve complex real-world problems and communicate their solutions in the most effective way possible, it is necessary for schools to provide the tools for students so that they are prepared for this new era of technological demand. With more than 200 4th and 5th-grade students sharing the only available cart of 40 Chromebooks, many students are unable to gain access, therefore, making it difficult for them to participate in the computer-based curriculum. The majority of my students are underrepresented, first-generation immigrants who are performing at/below grade level in various subjects.
