As a librarian in a Pre-K to 12th grade school, I see students of all ages. Students use the library for studying, checking out books, printing items in color, group work, and reading. I also teach a 5th grade library science class and work with all elementary teachers and students. The only technology I currently have in my library are two computers for library circulation and a 40" monitor. When teaching my students, I have to have children gather on the floor to try to see the screen. If I need to present students' written information, we have to go to the computer lab next door. I have to reach across tables shoved up to the walls to write on a traditional white board while my students sit on the floor. After doing research about what would best suit the library's needs, I chose a Sharp Aquos Board for the library. This interactive board is large enough for students to see, has an interactive whiteboard where up to four students can work on the screen at one time, and is known for its durability. This would allow all students to be able to see lessons being presented, any training videos being shown, as well as work in a group setting. Thank you for your consideration.
