Stories help the language of music come to life and make it more understandable for children. Learning music theory can be tedious, but the Freddie the Frog stories and puppets make it interesting and memorable. Learning a new language is hard, learning a third language is even harder! I plan to use these books and puppets with my lower elementary ELL students to give them the foundation they need to learn a third language-the language of music! Students build connections as they see the characters Freddie, Eli, and the Flying Jazz Kitten in the stories discover elements of music theory in a fun and engaging way.
