This year my 3rd grade students have been working with clay, some for the first time. They have created pinch and coil pots and LOVE to use clay! Students need to use their hands to create and clay is important for them to learn these skills. Clay is one of the earliest forms of art, which allows students to learn about art history. My hope is to expand their learning in 3rd grade as they work with clay on a pottery wheel. A pottery wheel is a huge way for students to create new and exciting pottery. Help my students do more of what they love.
