Books in Spanish will allow my Spanish speakers a chance to read what their counter part English speakers are reading. Discussions, conversations, and just plain talking about novels will be extremely beneficial to all of my students. At my school only the ELAR teachers have classroom libraries. We do not have a school library. While I have many books in many different genres, I only have two books in Spanish: Charlotte's Web and Los Muchachos de la Calle Ruiz. Students are allowed to check books out from my classroom library to take home and read. This allows students the chance to read outside of school.
