Since I have been teaching, I know that kids learn differently. I realized that some kids need to be able to move around to help their oxygen flow more so they can be more alert and focused. Flexible seating also helps with comfort, collaboration, and sensory input. Flex seating is a major perk for students with ADHD, ADD, and ASD. During last school year, I noticed how a few of my students would have benefited from having flex seating, so I borrowed items from other teachers. I’m really hoping my students and I are blessed with having these options in our own classroom. Student love being able to move around and at the elementary level options should be available. This project will also help with behavior management and organization. With the butterfly seats, lap boards, and rockers in our classroom will be all set for a year full of fun, collaborative, and more focused learning. I have also included a behavior chart to give students the opportunity to be responsible and accountable for their actions, as well as an attendance chart so we can keep up with class jobs and attendance in a fun way. Thank you for any support you are able to give. You are truly appreciated.
