Having a complete sensory room will further allow my students to feel safe, calm and comfortable to learn in the environment in which they are in for six hours per day. In a self-contained classroom, it is imperative that routine is kept, but that there are multiple opportunities to address sensory needs. Having a sensory room will allow my students a safe place to calm down and to learn when ready. My students need multi-sensory approaches to learning and a supportive environment in which they can thrive. Please help us complete our sensory room! We all have sensory needs; help us meet ours!
