We use narratives to tell our story, find common ground, ask thought-provoking questions, and help students realize they are not alone! These books will be used in classroom story-time, for one-on-one sessions, college and career planning, and in our social-emotional learning library. Students learn through literacy. They connect to characters, find meaning in stories and build skills through examples. These stories help our students make sense of the things they cope with individually. We are often the only people teaching students these skills. Without these representations, it can be hard to make sense of their experiences and learn how to cope.
