My students learn how to solve problems with robotics in our classroom. They learn to use a form of the programming language C that has been developed specifically for use with robotic applications. I want my students to realize that sensors used in their robotic kits can also be used in their daily life for fun and useful projects. Can you know if your brother or sister has been sneaking into your room? Yes, you can - set up a sensor to let you know. Can you adapt your idea to your smart home devices? Yes, you can - connect to an IoT platform. With Arduino starter kits, students can design and test their own concepts and ideas. We currently use online simulators. Physical components introduce another level of problem-solving.
