The classroom library is my students favorite place in our classroom. As they read their vocabulary is enhanced, their reading ability expands, their imagination grows, and new skills are learned. Reading plays a key role in unlocking the door to success for students. Reading is also a "safe place" or escape for the mind. In our area, not all students can afford to have leveled readers readily available at their home. My students are continuously asking to borrow books to take home to read. My hope is to grow my classroom library with leveled readers so that there are plenty for the students to borrow.
