About my class

The Monessen Greyhound paw print is seen all around the school and I’d like to make my Life Skills Transition class a “paws”itive experience! My students have participated in a small coffee cart service. We only did Fridays and delivered the coffee to teachers only. I am now teaching a transition to work class and would like to extend the services to 3 or more days a week and begin to offer other beverages along with packaged snacks. We inherited a cash register last year and have a couple older large coffee pots, but we are hoping to service more people quickly and offer both delivery ( with the cart) and in room purchase. The transition skills would entail keeping inventory, taking and filling orders, calculating totals, deliveries, cleanliness and customer service. The beverage refrigerator would allow us to offer cold drinks as an alternative. The cart would be used for delivery. We are in dire need of a new coffee pot and the warming pump carafe would be perfect and safe for deliveries. Please help us initiate this coffee shop as part of our Life Skills/Transition program.
