Sometimes kids just need a break! A sensory room would be a great addition to the school to provide sensory materials and special lighting to help self-regulate. This project will be a work in progress suported by data to determine how long each student needs to be in the sensory room, what time of day and what materials work the best for them to calm down. When given time and the tools to self-regulate, the students will be able to go back to the classroom ready to learn. This room would be especially useful for my students with Autism but it will be available to all students.
