As a counselor new to my school, my resources are limited. First, the requested resources will allow me to provide a comfortable place for my students when they need to talk, vent, or just chill with an adult who cares. Materials will be used for individual counseling sessions in my office when a student is having a bad day, during group lessons on specific topics, and during social-emotional classroom lessons. Toys and fidget items will be used by anxious students who need to take some time to calm down as well as as a conduit for conversation while engaging students with games.
