This project will give my students the opportunity to create and test simple experiments within the walls of my classroom, safely and effectively. Fifth graders have the opportunity for the first time to be a part of our school science fair, and teaching them about safety is key to their enjoyment of science. As students continue their education, they will encounter chemistry as well as biology classes. Having a solid base of science safety will give them a head start. Students will also have time to use the experiment books to search for their science experiments, and they will use the goggles to make sure they are safe when carrying out these experiments. Confucius once said, “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” Thank you for helping my students understand science safety.
