Many of my students tend to be intimidated by science and think social studies is boring. I'd like to use these books as introductions to lessons and to spark class discussions. I display books around the classroom and often see students investigating the books on their own. Books help bring these subject areas to life by helping students connect human experiences to the topic. When they can see that a person's contribution can change the world, their imaginations soar! I've also included some research books on topics my students are incredibly interested in. They are hungry to learn more. Thank you for your help!
