Students will be able to read and have discussions about topics that interest them. These books have pictures that display people that look like my students. Our students are low performing and need to be encouraged to expand their reading skills with topics that will allow their imagination to grow. This is an awesome opportunity to get our students more active in their pursuit of obtaining an education by providing reading materials that allow them to think outside of the box. The chosen reading materials will be utilized as tools that will help improve our students' comprehension, self-esteem, and overall improvement in their academics.
