All of my students show the desire to be strong readers. Giving them a Scholastic News and Science Spin subscription helps them do just that. These engaging non-fiction magazines provide students with age-appropriate content to keep them aware of current events and science in the ever-changing world. When we get a new magazine issue, students are eager to dive right into their favorite article! They better understand the stories by looking at other non-fiction text features like photographs, tables, charts, and are given various opportunities to learn. In addition to this outstanding reading resource, students are also able to access the Scholastic News and Science Spin online resources. This feature is included in the magazine subscription and gives students opportunities to learn even more and study vocabulary words from each issue. There are also adaptable tools for teachers to assist students who read above or below level. All around, this resource will allow our classroom to thrive.
