I would use these leveled books in order to support student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals during small group instruction. We do most of our work in groups of 3-4 students. The leveled books would help me meet the needs of each student in my class. I would also like my students to have more opportunities to access books that are at their independent or instructional reading levels. This will help promote independence in the classroom and provide them with more confidence to pick up a book and read. Engaging students with new books will help spark their interest in reading.
