In 3rd grade the students really gain a love of reading during our independent reading time. By fostering a love of reading and expanding interests, it helps each child grow as an individual. I have purchased many new books for our classroom library, but the students are begging for more. I had the students think of books and authors that they love, then compile a list of which ones they wanted the most. The books in the cart are books that my 28 readers have chosen to add to our library. These books are of high interest to them, which will engage them in reading, and help to improve their reading skills. By improving their reading skills it will improve their educational experience! We cannot wait to read these books!

About my class
