My students are diverse learners. These selected materials would allow them to explore current and past events on different reading levels. This would give them the opportunity to expand their mindset as they increase their levels of literacy. These materials would be used on a daily basis through out 4 grade levels. Since my students are on different levels these materials would be used in a variety of ways. One, they would serve as an extension activity for those who are at a higher level. Two, to help those students at a lower level read supplemental material with added visuals to the text to further their understanding. Three, these readings would offer students a window outside of the current community to events happening around the world. Lastly, it will help us with social goals, communicating with others through class discussions.
