We are requesting book bags to rotate books amongst my families. The book bags will have a variety of books. The books will be focused on Diversity, STEAM, Social Emotional and much more. In addition, I will include books that my families can read in their own language. I will have a total of 4 books in each bag. I will hand out the book bags on Mondays and collect them on Thursdays. Also, parent volunteers will be responsible to have the book bags ready when they are turned in for the next rotation. Your help will encourage and reinforce the love my students have for stories. Also, these book bags will alleviate the pressure my families face in finding appropriate books for their children to read. I have successfully managed a take home reading program for five years when I worked in a preschool setting. I am excited to think my students will be able to have access to books at home through the books bags and individual tags. I can already imagine the joy it will bring to my students and their families. In advance, thank you for being interested in my project!
