I am attending various professional development sessions that center around these picture books. These books will be used as read alouds in multiple kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth grade classrooms. The books address multiple feelings that kids have, as well as social issues facing the world today. These books can be used in person with my students, or virtually if we get shut down again. I am in the unique position of being a guidance counselor and a literacy coach, so I see these students in multiple settings during the day.
