These books will help provide a more print-rich classroom that I strive and dream for my little kindergartners. Access to fun, colorful, rememberable, and brilliant picture books are very limited for most of my students do to socioeconomic. Having multiple copies of these books for the spring time will be used for 6 weeks of science lessons, writers workshop, and creative math units. My students beg for independent reading time on the carpet with books they choose! They choose books that they recognize first! The ones that are special, the ones their teacher reads aloud! Having more copies of these Eric Carle books will give them more opportunities to buddy read also! They love to sit side by side with a friend and read the stories together! Most my students are still learning to read, so this would be a tool used to learn from peers also! Please consider giving the gift of loving to read by donating to our classroom library of Eric Carle books!
