Flexible seating give students choice and a chance to move. In middle school there are fewer and fewer opportunities to move around and enjoy movement throughout the school day. These flexible seating chairs and bands will help my special education students to focus and stimulate their brains so that they can learn more and sustain attention for longer. When students are excited to choose these seats, they will complete more work. An erasable whiteboard table will encourage collaboration and remind students that learning is a process. When learning a new skill, you almost never get it right the very first time. I want my students to practice a growth mindset by visually seeing the many mistakes that can be made to help us arrive at an answer. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating and working options to build their confidence and allow them to make choices.
