Most of us grew up in a traditional classroom setting of desks and chairs where we sat all day long. Well, the times are changing! More teachers are moving toward flexible seating. This means providing students with alternate seating options, such as yoga balls and wiggle stools. So what's the big deal? Studies have shown that students who are actively moving are more likely to retain information. Flexible seating options allow students to stay in their designated space while still being able to move around. A yoga ball increases posture and balance, and provides students will plenty of movement while still staying in their area. Wiggle stools accomplish the same thing! Please help me to provide my class with flexible seating options that allow them to get out their wiggles while learning at the same time.
