Currently, my classroom only has one computer. With additional computers added to the room, more students will be able to unitize the online resources our school system has purchase and approved for their use. Students will be able to use Ticket to Read, Prodigy, AR (Accelerated Reader), Dance Mat Typing, as well as online research databases like World Book Kids and PebbleGo. Students will also be able to begin practicing typing skills as they begin to use Microsoft Word to type their essays. Technology is changing our world! Students in my classroom don't currently have many opportunities to use it on a daily basis. Many of them will grow up to have jobs where the use of a computer will be second nature. I want to give my students the chance to be on an equal playing field with peers at other schools that have more funding for technology.
