The books that I chose are graphic novels. The students think they are only reading comics. The graphic novels are widening their vocabulary and making them want to read more. I have some students that have moved on to real chapter books (as they call them). As they read more, they learn more. They are developing a wonderful habit. READING! We have a limited budget when it comes to new books. By the time the students get to fourth grade they have read everything in the library. I use my own money when a book in a series comes out. I want my kids to read.
