The requested Spanish readers would make such an impact on my students who are just starting to acquire the Spanish language. Our school library and surrounding public libraries offer limited or no selections of Spanish books for them to check out and read on their own. These Spanish readers would benefit my students in allowing them to have a choice in what they read to acquire the Spanish language. They will read at a modified pace using Comprehensible Input strategies to expand their vocabulary and knowledge. Since there are no resources such as these in my school building, my classroom would be the place that students of all grade and learning levels can come to read in Spanish. These books would also be a welcome addition to help the heritage speakers in the building to perfect their Spanish.
