Reading and math are very important to all students. However, the students love to play and be creative with materials. So why not combine the two? I want to make the outside world a classroom. Using nerf guns and water balloons seems like a great start! I can use sidewalk chalk, paint and silly string to create math word problems and write sight words, letters and sentences and we can play while we learn. I’m very excited to start this with my kindergarten group especially since they are so sweet and special to me. They will be thankful for you too!
