A daily complaint I hear from my students is "I've already read ALL of my books in my book box. Do you have any more?!?" I would love to say, "Yes, go grab them from the cart." Having a cart that's organized with books by reading level would benefit my students SO much. They would be given the opportunity to choose which books they want to read that they will successfully read and comprehend. I would be also able to teach them how to choose "just right books" that fit their interests and reading ability, so they can continue to do this during reading time, library time and any other time they read. What an awesome skill to have!! Think about how excited you are when picking out a book at the library! Imagine how excited my students will be when they are able to pick a book they want to read and can successfully read it. I can't think of any better excitement!
