The use of new tables and chairs will help the students feel safer in the classroom. The tables and chairs currently in my classroom are very old and broken. I have never received new tables and chairs since I have been at this school. Many of the students could possibly harm themselves if they fell or cut themselves. I have received what can be found for my room throughout the school building, in which doesn't accommodate my students very well. With these new materials, my students will feel like they can do anything within their artistic abilities. I began this project just before the pandemic began. I felt that my students needed better desks and chairs to keep them safe. I believe that our students will feel more comfortable with new tables. They have had new challenges thrust upon them and coming back to an art room with new tables would make them feel safe.
