Since I teach in a highly impacted Title I school many of my students come to school lacking many of the basic skills to succeed in school. One of those skills that a lot of my students lack is the ability to focus on a given subject. One thing that keeps them from focusing is the ability to sit still. That is why I am requesting wobble chairs. I feel that this could help focus them on their work as well as letting them to be able to move a little while not distributing others. Another skill that a lot of my students are lacking is the ability to tune out outside noise and focus on the task at hand. That is why I choose to select 5 pairs of ear protectors. Several students in my class have come to me and expressed their concern that sometimes they find a school environment to be noisy and too stimulating and they wish they could have it a little more calm. That is why I feel the ear protection could work.
