It is challenging for my students to access grade level texts because they are English learners, and they have disabilities that make reading challenging. They love to hear stories, they love to listen to read alouds, and they are learning to love books as they work hard to improve their reading skills. These books will help my students learn more about the world around them, and they will also allow students to read the same stories as their peers. They deserve to know the feeling of falling in love with a book. My students have every right to access the curriculum their peers do, and this will help them do exactly that!
