In the art room, our elementary classes tend to start our projects with a book. We use this (usually art focused) book to be inspired by and help us get creative with our projects. We tend to go through a lot of supplies when we are creating. Stonebridge students get so excited when we start our projects with a book they have never heard, or with fresh new supplies to be creative with! When we hear a new story, our creative juices start flowing. When we aren't concerned with where the nice pencils are, or with not having enough colors or not having the right colors, we get a lot of beautiful self-expression done!
