Our newly formed esports team is in dire need of specialized mice, headsets, and keyboards. We are participating in an esports league run by PlayVs, and adopted by our state athletic association the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference. As a fully fledged athletic team for our school. Video games are not just for playtime anymore, by competing students have an opportunity to be recruited and earn college scholarships. The goal is to have the team perform to the best of their ability during matches. Our current mice are slow to respond, and some are almost unusable. The keyboards are not much better some are missing keys, which isn't a problem for word processing, but when it comes to competitive gaming: speed, responsiveness, and those not so often used keys on the keyboard are a necessity. Communication, and limiting distractions is another team need, and headsets will solve this, by drowning out background noise, and allowing players to accurately determine whose speaking to them. With these new devices, the team will be able to perform their best during practice and competition.
