We strive to prepare our littles for the things to come, not only in school, but in life. These activities will be used to increase academic skills but also positive social behavior through increasing peer interactions and play. They will also be used to increase fine motor skills necessary to become strong writers. Kindergarten is rigorous; these materials will allow me to guide my students' learning toward our goals while letting them explore, play and be 5 years old. Games and materials will be used during small group and center activities to differentiate learning in new and exciting ways! For example, the Storyteller Writing box will allow some students to sort based on higher level skill while other students still need practice sorting based on more foundational category ideas as found in the Super Sorting Pie.
