Interacting students through bibliotherapy is one positive way to engage them in understanding certain emotions or actions they may be experiencing. The books that I have chosen are to extend my small library with books that the students can relate to. For example, the majority of the books chosen focus on emotions in which we have a lot of student who might not know what certain emotions are. Within bibliotherapy, students are engaged in what is being read to them in which I pause for understanding and take a moment to ask the student if they relate to any of the characters. Students are given the opportunity to check for understanding and they learn something from the reading. It is important to engage students with fun books and games that they can relate that way they learn best solutions to take when confronted with any type of situation or emotion. The games that were added was to add some fun into the counseling sessions and include Feelings Playing Cards and The Talking, Feeling and Doing Game. Students really enjoy playing games and at the same time they learn about ways to deal with situations that involve their emotions and learn how to deal with them or simply to recognize they exist.
