Exposing students to many different types of literature helps develop good readers. Our class uses Dyad reading to help boost struggling students. It's important to have many options on hand for students to choose from. When students are able to feel like they have choices in what they read, they are more likely to enjoy reading. Having quality books builds their interests as well. Our class has a wide range of reading abilities and it's important to give options for everyone in the class. Students will be able to select a couple of books from the class library and take part in Dyad reading (a partner reading technique).
