3 ring binders filled with worksheets in sheet protectors will allow my students to practice something over and over until they can do it independently. I also have a lot of sensitive information pass through my room and a shredder would help me keep up with the old documents that have to be destroyed to keep the children protected. My students have sensory needs and we work on some topics over and over so they are better able to retain it. Making any subject into a game also helps them enjoy learning and remember what they learned later. I try to come up with ways for them to earn games as well so that, even on hard days they have something to look forward to. Punch cards allow them take responsibility for something they are earning.
