The students that grace my room each day are in need of new classroom tables. In our classroom, we use desks that are arranged in groups in order to promote collaboration. Teaching in the public school system has so many benefits but it also means that you are only allotted what is in your classroom as far as furniture. My desks are in dire need of updating and my students struggle to fit their daily materials in the small spaces provided. They are actively engaged; however, I feel that with the use of table grouping, students will feel even more included, heard, organized, and comfortable. Collaboration is key in promoting a positive and effective classroom environment! I feel that with the use of table groups, my students will have the opportunity to easily discuss topics in instruction and engage in positive classroom discussions. My students will also have more STEM opportunities with the new amount of space provided by tables! I want my students to feel comfortable in their learning and using tables, they will have less at their desks and more space for learning! This will also allow for more leadership roles in my classroom as students will be assigned to gather materials and place them in designated spots in our room to create more space for our tables!! Please help me in creating a more spacious, comfortable, and collaborative environment for my classroom! My students and I will be forever grateful to you for your contributions!
