Our students read, research, hear and see science all around us. Our students' innovation and creativity are often silenced due to the inability to support our students with a hands-on approach to what they're learning from books and on the web. Our students learn through play. They learn how to apply what they are learning in an interdependent setting. STEM science kits are part of the learning loop that is necessary for all students to achieve the level of understanding needed to feel successful. Our students look forward to our Environmental Unit every year but lack kits to solidify their learning. The STEM 12-in-1 Education Solar Robot Toys, 4M Clean Water Science - Climate Change, Global Warming, and Lab, Foundation Chemistry Kit: Dozens of STEM Experiments That Take Girls Seriously will help our students construct new ideas and products while learning how to give and receive valuable peer feedback as they process the theories from our readings in class. The combination of kits and social and emotional learning that includes positive growth mindsets and collaboration are necessary tools needed to support our students' thirst for knowledge. I believe our students crave challenges and dealing with adversity and working with others are essential skills needed in and out of the classroom. These particular STEM kits are the piece of the puzzle needed in our classrooms.
