My students live in a cold winter climate. Sometimes they do not have proper clothing to be outside. When it's only 10 degrees outside a proper hat and mittens is crucial to keeping warm. If my students are not warm they are more apt to be sick and certainly can't have fun with their peers. I want my students to feel cared for and supported in all areas of their day. Keeping them warm is just one way I can help to do that for them. If they feel cared for in school they will also be more willing to try harder in school and grow to be caring, responsible adults.

About my class
