These classroom materials will provide alternative methodologies to compliment the current curriculum. Early interventions in building phonics knowledge, sight word, fluency, will enhance students fluency in reading comprehension, which overlaps into mathematics as well. Working with my students, whom all have specific learning strengths and weaknesses (ESL, Trauma, ASD, ADHD, Cognitive), these such games and hands-on materials, will easily be differentiated to create individualized lessons for each student by providing hours of enjoyable experiences while learning, including academic skills, self-advocacy skill building, trust building, language enrichment, and offer them a different view in the importance of being a lifelong learner!
