The technology, sensory items, and adaptive learning materials will all help create a positive and fun learning environment for my students. Because of their unique physical and intellectual disabilities, my students need more innovative resources to learn effectively. The adaptive mouses only have one button to click, which makes them much easier for my students to use. This would give them the opportunity to more fully utilize computers in the learning process. The sensory items are extremely helpful in keeping my students engaged and on task. During group work, my students are able to stay much more focused when they have a sensory toy in their hands; this is especially true of my students with autism. Many of these items are also great to use as a reward for my students when they are able to complete a task. The adaptive learning materials are focused on providing my students with a fun, creative way to learn. Most of my students are full of energy, and sitting quietly and learning in a traditional manner is not conducive to their personalities. The adaptive learning materials will allow them to use technology, play games, and interact with one another all while learning the essential kindergarten curriculum.
