An important part of any student's learning is to try things out in order to solidify their understanding of it. In addition to this, I believe that it is important for students to learn how to use their hands to create things. With their hands, my students will learn to build anything that they envision in their minds. We will start with an acrylic aquarium where students will put their knowledge about homeostasis to the test by keeping aquatic plants alive with their knowledge about salinity, pH, and temperature. Throughout the year, they will go on to build greater and more complex things, but this is a necessary stepping stone for them to learn that they can build things themselves.
