Our students are excited and eager to learn. As low-income students with a high percentage of English Language Learners, our students are at a distinct disadvantage due to a lack of funding for all but the basic things for Language Arts and Math. Providing the reading and STEM items chosen will engage students in activities they would not otherwise be able to participate in. They learn easily with hands-on materials; concepts are easier to visualize and understand when they're immersed in experimenting with assorted manipulatives provided by the materials chosen. We're so excited to be able to work with STEM activities that have a clearly defined purpose!
