For my 3rd grade classroom, I’d like to have a set of 30 Fraction Strip boards to aid in teaching fractions. I borrowed a set from another teacher recently and decided I needed a set of my own. With the fraction strips it will be easier for students to learn fraction comparisons and ordering fractions. Fraction strips are engaging for students to have a concrete way to see fractions in the forms of least to greatest and greatest to least. Use of fraction strips will also help my students recognize equivalent fractions.
