With the laptops, my students who are struggling with language will be able learn letter sound, phonics and basic reading skills of the English language. Students who struggle with vocabulary will practice vocabulary skills and strategies. Students who have no books at home and those who struggle with reading and comprehension will have access to an entire library at their desk through Reading A-Z and Myon. They will be able to select books on their level, listen the story read aloud to them and then take a quiz to show what they know! They will be able to to use their new gained knowledge of phonics and vocabulary in reading. With donations to my project it will greatly improve my students's language acquisition and reading. Student will have independent as well as group practice in the areas they are currently struggling in and be able to master.
