Before coming to my school our students did not regularly perform and they had never had a school musical. Because our students come from varied economical and familial backgrounds we are offering an after school enrichment for them. This will keep our students busy as well as supervised because alot of our parents work late or are on duty because we are primarily a military school. These materials will help our students to create, dance, sing, act and perform but most importantly do something "outside" of their usual box without having to worry about finding the money themselves for supplies. These items will help us to give students snacks they cannot afford on their own or do not regularly have because our rehearsals are immediately after school. The art supplies and costume items will give us a great start with creating the visual magic that will happen on stage. Again, taking the burden off of the parents, the teachers that give so much of their time and talent, and the school which does not have a funded theatre department.
