In 2017, Florida passed a law that all children should have 20 minutes of recess a day, but as of right now our students do not have an appropriate recess area. We are in the process of creating a park-like recess area. This area will include large yard chess, checkers, tic-tac-toe, and more. We want to keep these items safe from the harsh sun and rains. The storage benches with locking capability will keep these exciting game pieces looking nice for many years. These benches will give our students an awesome place to sit and share a book with their reading buddy. Throughout the year, our students read with their kindergarten and fifth-grade reading buddies. By having a few benches, this provides a place for students to enjoy reading off the ground.
